granular synths make fucking mental sounds, as i found out wen i searched for "free granular synth" and was able to download a wicked one (made by granulab) in 100k! anyway this is the synth Ae use LOADS for their sound, and i did my homework on it. This guy called Curtis Roads basically wrote the programs for it in the 80s, based on theory from the 40s! his website is: http://www.mat.ucsb.edu/~clang/ now what pisses me off is that he was at ATP, and on the radio 3 show 'mixing it' that had highlights, they were interviewing him. Apart from going about abouit granny synths, he talked about new creations like 'pulse systhesis', and said that: "5 mins ago i just gave sean my new program for this new instrument" !!! no wonder Ae are so ahead!!! they have the tools! c*nts on his website he has some free programs for download he made, but are for bastard macs only. interesting, non? if someone has mac please download em and tell me if they any good, worth buying a mac for? lol |

there's a preset module in reaktor called travelizer or something, i dont know if thats what your talking about but it sounds very autechre, like gantz graf |

i cant use it as such, i just mess about the travelizer is the most impressive, you load a sample in and then mess about using two x/y controllers, messed up timestrech and stuff, i dont even know what im looking at when im playing with it but it sounds wicked |
