I believe KYMA was created by a french female scientist at
first. When you have KYMA you don't need VST's, you can
create whatever plug or synth you want (maybe that's what he
has done?).

He he, you should listen to the way Reason Zealots talk
about Fruity Loops :)

i also doubt rich programed his own apps. He likes fuckin
and fuckin around too much. It WOULD take a team and a long
time.

and for those who think Reason is crap. Ha ha. It's far
from it. It's all in how you use the program lads. If you
stick to simple set ups and only use the refills given, you
might get bored and think it's crap. But no sir. It's a well
built machine. Lots of IDM/electro producers use it. Or use
it with other apps. Explore the possibilites and
experiment.

It's not about the software. It's about who's writing the
tracks anyway.

check the reason/propellerheadz site. there's plenty of
tips, i believe.

hehe thing is, i have used fruity loops and enjoy it also -
i really don't have qualms about either program. from seeing
people badmouth each other back and forth about which
programs are better and so on, i just realized that hey,
maybe fasttracker is good for one person and logic for
another and reason for another, etc etc.. :)
to each their own..

joakimlinden: indeed! I even applied for the demo CD which
came in my mailbox three-four days later. Talk about serious
company (still waiting for Waves to send me the demo
CD...been waiting for a couple of months now).

afx said this on a mailing list, Tue, 16 Jan 2001:

"Ive got this one patch for sc1 ,well I call it a patch but
it really is more
like a complete composition/track writing environment in its
24th
revision!,sort of a cross between a tracker/CDP by trev
wishart/Koan/very
very sorted waveform editor unlike anything else/sample
manager/voice
synth/LPC stuff and shed loads of other things ,pisses over
every other prg
out there badly!,
hehehe makes things like reason look like a casio sk1.
and no I havnt released anything using it ,too much fun
playing with it
~~~smile~~~"
Really, huh, that is wierd.
Because on the propellerheads board Richard wrote:
" I set up this routing with six malstroms and seventeen
effects boxes that is perfect. Blows every other
soft/hardware synth out of the water. Rewire is a sinch, all
you cunts should stop complaining and lick my shoe. My new
album not only sounds like it was made with reason, in fact,
everysound in the tracks are a propellerheads preset, ring
modded to death. I did this knowing that you blokes will
shell out money for anything with my name on it. Cheers.
~~~smile~~~~~~~ "

Gotta love him.
