but the honestly honesty whatever is not my thing, Corgan
looks like hes a bitch, he was an god and now singing these
cute little melodies and shit!

He was anti poppy music and now look at him ...zwan what
kind of crap is that.

YOU LEFT PUMPKINS FOR THIS?!?!

hmm when was billy corgan anti pop music? i was under the
impression after hearing siamese dream and melancholy and
the infinite sadness that that was his main game.

zwan rocks, but the non album material is best...stop
judging on singles alone!

some kickass live stuff from different points in the full
year they were a band before the record came out...

i find myself skipping to jesus i on the rare occasions that
i actually put the album on. it's the only interesting
track. maybe desire too.

what's wrong with billy? he said he was going to have fun
with this new band but instead of doing something
interesting he comes up with the most commercial shite he's
made since 1979... dying for that one hitsingle, prolly.
it's a shame. it's low brow poprock. but i still like most
of it, curiously.

well, I haven't listened to the album, but I have no desire
to... I never really liked Billy Corgans music...

i think that zwan's popularity is thanks to a large group of
people who won't let go of the smashing pumpkins and will
grab on to anything involving billy corgan that they can.

offline GIR from Easton on 2003-04-26 10:45 [#00670166]

its not the same as smashing pumpkins, and thats the problem
most people have...they buy it expecting to hear another
pumpkins cd, which isnt the case at all..and i dont recall
corgan ever saying he was anti-pop

frankly, i like this album a lot....the album tracks like el
sol, and of a broken heart are great lyrically, and
melodically...just because something is upbeat from someone
who was once downbeat doesnt mean you have to hate it.

i have no problem whatsoever with upbeat music, and billy's
lyrics have never been of great standards, but this album
is, well, boring. i loved it the first time i listened to
it, that was a sign, unfortunately.

there's nothing left to explore after a few listens. which
isn't bad. i like depth in music, but the occasional summer
album is fine.

still, i was hoping billy would be doing doing grander
things though. especially considering david pajo is
involved.

anything corgan ever did away.

Very... average. Doomed to be in the Pumpkins' shadow even
if they WERE great. Which they aren't.

pumpkins were overrated. Sure they have some awesome songs,
but they also have some godawful ones. Another case of crap
music masked by reputation
