Seefeel was so great! I miss them so much... "Succour" is
one of the greatest albums ever released

disjecta ep is good....bought it at ATP...difficult to
describe but not as digital as old disjecta, not as smooth as
old seefeel...just,well,sublime!you might get the autechre
remix of seefeel as well...just one long track but worth
every penny.

Yeah, 'quique' was great! - I was spellbound by that record
for months... And I love how the opening track - climactic
phase #3 - sneaks upon you with that chilled hypnotic groove
- gorgeous stuff!!!

Listening to Imperial as we speak, it's my favourite,
followed by Plainsong. Imperial makes me think of looking at
a grey sky with the sun shining through from underwater.

I think they have actually done a good jobmaking the tracks
so repetitive. Works very hypnotic indeed. (See the "what is
your very favourite" thread)

that is. Pure gold.

Anyone heard Mark Clifford's project Sneakster? One album
and a couple of e.p.'s - including a remix e.p. by x-cocteau
twins producer Robin Guthrie - have apparently seen the
light of day, without me knowing about it! Well, anyone
heard this stuff?

It is indeed - but I must say I prefer the 'slow mix' to the
' 'fast mix' - It's like walking on the moon... :)

Personally I prefer the fast mix, because the lead melody
comes out more in that track.

Both are marvellous though

Well, really I think the 2 nixes belong together, so Aphex
should have included the 'slow mix' and renamed the album
'27 mixes for cash'...

Yeah, I really don't see why he couldn't include that one
remix as well...

I would give up one of the Mescalinum United remixes for
that one.

offline KEYFUMBLER from DUBLIN (Ireland) on 2003-04-28 05:36 [#00673952]

and then included the 2nd AFX remix and the lemonheads thing
and re-renamed the album "29 remixes for each year
Keyfumbler has beem on the planet on this date" (hint hint)

I didn't like Sneakster very much - maybe it was the vocals
that turned me off.

Has anyone else heard the new Disjecta?

I remember buying 'Quique' from the Buy and Sell in Camden
back in '94. And my sis bought SAWII at the same time.
Quique is a very good record and unfortunately my other sis
has decided to borrow it from me (long term). :-(

I just got the new disjecta and spangle remix. Crummy
packaging but the music is good.

I don't think these releases are going to win any new
converts but it's a treat for old fans like me. Now if
they'd just re-release the Woodenspoon 12" on CD...

heathen indeed.non-believer.i admit 'succour' is a difficult
album, especially compared to the fluid beauty of 'quique' or
the 'starethrough' ep,but you should give it time because
its such an immense, dark beast of an album.every listen
serves up something new for me.
has anyone heard the disjecta/mira calix mp3 on the
polyfusia site?i really loved it.
