i cant knock pitchfork. i really cant.

say someone has a reason to not like draft 7.30, as crazy as
that may sound, but they TRULY BELIEVE in what they have
said. how can i knock pitchfork for doing that? let alone
people bitch about it because THEY feel it deserves better.
but its just an opinion. even with reviewers, its just their
opinion when it comes down to it.

its not like they gave it a fucking 1.5 anyhow.

i think the review is completely fair. much like i think
their review of the fragile is too. they have their reasons,
i have mine.

yeah. people just need to chill out i think. dunno. stuff
and things. but since i really like draft 7.30, i might as
well get angry too :)

NO THAT review was totally wrong, the reviewer should be
sacked, draft 7.30 is a 10/10, the reviewer must have
something against rob and sean or be gay or something

please, draft 7.30 really doesnt deserve any more than a 7
to me. it's completely outshined by confield's inspired
complexity.. nothing autechre has done has really taken me
awhile to "get" but this really wasnt that challenging of a
release from them. esp after confield.. it seems like a step
back.. or an application of confield's aethetic to more
basic patterns of rhythm etc. .. not that that is
necessarily a bad thing, but I could have waited for
a stronger release from them.. think about it.. after two
years, "theme of a sudden roundabout" is one of the ten best
things they came up with???

no your totally wrong, dont you see? I wish someone else
would experience autechre the same way i do :(

i think new autechre is kind of like a fine expensive wine

to one person it tastes like crap, but if you mull it over
and take time to appreciate it it's very good, an aquired
taste

Oooh, I've been listening to "IDM" for ten or eleven years
now, does that mean I'm important too? ;-)

But seriously, early Autechre knocks spots off later
Autechre...really...

every person experience Ae their own way...and some just
don't get it. Can't blame them for that. I am glad. That way
I get to keep Ae all to myself . *evil grin*

Yet, despite my considerable missing of the point (and
for all I know, I still am), its spark was clear. Sean Booth
and Rob Brown constructed a fiber-thin moonscraper of a
system: I'm not sure any of it would stand up in the face of
analysis, but most of it tears down my attempts without much
effort.

this quote reminds me of people who say they didn't like
Lost Hiway because they "didn't get it."

all i know is, couldn't stop listening to this album on
headphones last night and that has only happened with a few
albums for me, ever.

I just got it a week ago, so its too soon for me to make a
good review, but so far I like it a lot, though its true it
wasnt such a shock as with confield

well i like it better than confield.
confield just didn't do it for me. this album however.. my
only problem with draft 7.30 is that it's too short.

Beauty is to emotion as "clanking" is to thought.
