FUCK.... I wanted to see Postal Service SO BAD when they
were in DC:( How where they? I really don't like Cex live,
because he can't rap. I can picture him talking too much
during the interview... he's starving for so much attention.

A friend and I were in SoundGarden[music store] and Cex was
in there with some other people and he came up to us and was
like do you know who I am? Come to this bar and hang out.
But in order to not boost his ego we acted clueless.

Postal Service was alright, not my cup of tea though....
i agree, i liked his older stuff more too
but the show was really good
he grabbed the attention of the audience real quick and was
doing classic call out and return shit
i think he's definitely worth seeing live

I went and saw him a couple nights ago in Detroit.

The performance was really good, he got our section of the
mostly elite-indie kids going, so he came out to us and did
the whole show by us. I slapped him a homie five and talked
to him about the beats while he was performing.

"That's a phat woodblock beat" -me
"It's not real woodblock"
"It's computer woodblock?"
"Yeah"

Then cex licked my friend's forehead.

I agree his rapping wasn't that great, but some cool call
and response stuff and he was really funny throughout.

I enjoyed it and would see him again.

Midwest Product though.....woo that was some performance.
Damn indie kids don't dance, but we did. They played a bunch
of new stuff that was really funky and good, can't wait to
see it released.

With all that shit he posts in his online journal,
one thing we could do without is extra interviews to read...

god i hate that tigerbeat 6 shrugged shoulders ironic
appropriation of black music - it's so desperate

He was here on Tuesday.

I'm from Plymouth, and have an electronic music radio show.
My name is C___ A., my phone number is ##########

Hi.

p.s. I was wearing a Detroit Techno City t-shirt at the
concert.

well to be honest i don't understand it - but if you get so
alienated about things i guess irony is the last resort - on
the whole cos the people in the uk are always kinda foreign
to most black music ie r and b us soul, hip hop, reggae etc,
we're all alein so our hybrids are always multi racial

Yeah, Baltimore is Drowning in too kool to dance emo-indie
punk kids who aren't impressed by anything, and that is how
he knows how to deal with them... I can only take like the
first ten minutes of his act.

Postal Service is so FUCKING GREAT. really! You should give
them a second chance.

i saw Cex with the postal service and lindsay diaries.
frankly, i'm a big fan of Cex and i ain't gonna deny it. his
stuff is just fun and seeing him live is even funner. i
videoed his entire set here from last october, and i took
some pics of his show last week that im gonna try and put
up.

personally i think the postal service sucks but if you like
them, whatever, that's your deal...
