call me a late bloomer. i just bought confield last week
and i'm surprised how much i'm liking it. this track is
wicked. i love the little melodies that slowly develop
underneath it all.

i remember hearing that on warp-net when the flash animation
thingy came out. was a weird experience, since it was very
minimal and unlike anything theyve done.

at the time it reminded me of the metallic/sonic sound of
lp5. the sound textures, so i thought thats how confield
would be (which got me excited)

but, i was even more surprised i suppose.

ae at all at the time.

i liked it, but not in a FUCK YEAH THIS ROCKS sort of way. i
played it to a few previous autechre fans and they hated
it.

they still hate autechre now, too. how bout that :)

i just had a lot of expectations before confield came out.
i thought they would release something really heavy
sounding, so when i first heard vi scose poise and how
minimal it sounded, i was disappointed.

but as usually, i changed my mind after listening to it many
times. the melody is so good, ive got no idea how they come
up with them.

same thing with p:ntil, when that little fucked up string
melody kicks in halfway through, how do they manage to make
that? damn!

fucking yes, i love that! it almost sounds like they played
it live, really sloppy.. its awesome!

and vi scose poise.. i didnt like it at first, but now its
one of the best tracks on confield (my other 2 favourites
are pen expers and parhelic triangle)..

It's one of my favorites from the album.

I love the loose rhythmic feeling, almost improvisational,
and then the enoesque melody drops, adding a whole new
dimension.

that album has to be listened to as a whole i think. great
opener though, starts a flow that they can keep up with all
the way threough the album
