The name "Gantz Graf" makes me think of a graf artist named
Gantz. Ae used to hang out with graf crews, so perhaps this
is the meaning...

I've never been a graf artist. Too scared of getting caught.
I do like it though (not tagging mind), and would be
interested in any links people have to their work.

I do enjoy looking at so calles "master pieces", you know,
those big grafiti pieces with loads of colors, but I don't
like seeing tags everywhere.

Some friends of mine are in to it, and they do some nice
work, but they have almost been caught several times, so
it's not really something I'd be getting into (as I'm not
graphically talentend either).

Nice, do you do it with proper spray guns or use cans? Got
any links to pics?

I was behind a hotrod with really good custom artwork
(incredibly smooth metallic purple to silver gradient with
text on top) on the way home the other day. Nearly rear
ended the guy about 5 times as I was driving so close :)

...this was during the Los Angeles
marijuana drought of '86. I still
had a connection. Which was
insane, 'cause you couldn't get
weed anyfuckinwhere then. Anyway,
I had a connection with this
hippie chick up in Santa Cruz.
All and my friends knew it. And
they'd give me a call and say,
"Hey, Freddy, you buyin some, you
think you could buy me some too?"
They knew I smoked, so they'd ask
me to buy a little for them when I
was buyin. But it got to be
everytime I bought some weed, I
was buyin for four or five
different people. Finally I said,
"Fuck this shit." I'm makin this
bitch rich. She didn't have to do
jack shit, she never even had to
meet these people. I was fuckin
doin all the work. So I got
together with her and told her,
"Hey, I'm sick of this shit. I'm
comin through for everybody, and
nobody's comin through for me.
So, either I'm gonna tell all my
friends to find their own source,
or you give me a bunch of weed,
I'll sell it to them, give you the
money, minus ten percent, and I
get my pot for free." So, I did
if for awhile...

no idea

i was watching an interesting program about grafitti clean
up and how it is a spontaneous unconcious collaborative art
form. it was going around portland and seattle showing
pictures of places where city workers had covered up
graffiti with mismatched paint squares. i like the look of
these squares covering tags.

there is a guy in seattle who's tag is "java" he keeps
tagging this wall at the old Rainier brewery with big murals
and they keep painting over it. he has a new tag there
about every 2 weeks. the paint must be an inch thick on
that wall.

Howz about that graff art in 'Beat Street'
great great movie

There's some good graffiti in one of the parks in gibby-
done by Taffmonster, sponsored by Christopher's records.

The Aftamath Staff are a good graf crew too, check out their
work in that park round the back of the Cinema in Barry.

A lot of shops in inner Barry have graf with the shops name
on the roller blinds.

I like graffiti, it's tagging that's antisocial, esp. on
private buildings.

my views are this, graffiti art is one of the finest artforms
to date, daim indeed is my personal hero,i paint
oil,acrylic,aerosol-cars walls and canvas,i also make
sculptors, the bulk of anyone of my collections is at mr
booths and mr browns, mostly in the studio...the point of
this is just to say that all the artforms that i paint are
or based on graffiti.....i thank every one whos replyed, and
soon as poss i shall post pics of my work.................
