hm. i've *never* been a fan of various artists cd's. to listen to a track, especially a lot of idm, out of the flow of it's album, seems to make a track a hell of a lot more shit to me. it's like its completely out of context; there's no build up, it's like one paragraph out of an involved story. a hell of a lot more meaningless, and the effect that blows you away with a lot of idm just isn't there. not sure why. know lots of people disagree with that :( i like albums for their completeness; even the crap songs. |
