lets face it folks. most people are racist to one degree or
another. white people are especially intolerant, not that
tolerance should exist, as it makes it sound like "oh shit,
i have to tolerate this stupid black guy." its a damn shame
really. whether you want to admit it or not, to some degree,
most of you are atleast slightly racist. i'm willing to
admit that at a subconcious level i have acted very slightly
racist before. maybe an off color remark, something along
those lines.
to all the white people here: how many black friends do you
actually have? not just that black dude you say hello to at
work, but close friends? i'm doubting that 95% of you have
any.
i could be wrong, but sadly, i doubt i am.

and the hypocrisy in disliking the culture that spawned the
music that this messageboard is based around is astounding.
i don't think you can say you hate black culture but don't
hate black people. if you actually think black culture is
"bitches and ho's" than you're a fucking idiot.

you just called almost everyone here a fucking idiot
then..... score! titsworth jr. ;)

believe it or not, i've brought up this "anti-rap"/"pro-IDM"
hypocrisy before, citing solid evidence of hip-hop being the
main catalyst of the music they all listen to, and they
refuse to admit that the two genres are related. ignorance,
guilty as charged.

ahahah. anyone who won't admit that doesn't DESERVE to
listen to aphex twin or any other IDM artist for that
matter.
derrick may anyone? please, detroit techno was an entirely
black movement, and thats the basis of modern electronic
music.
of course, black beat music goes a hell of a lot farther
back than that, but no one here probably wants to admit that
music has its roots in africa.

music has its roots everywhere, but modern music, especially
of american origins (jazz, rock, hip-hop, techno (a lot more
detroit than it is "kraut")), is more african oriented than
anything else.

anyway, i know you weren't being literal, but i won't go as
far to say people don't deserve to listen to great music if
they can't appreciate its origins, or worse yet, swallow
their pride and admit its a relative of music that doesn't
do anything for them ("rap") when people like us let the
proverbial cat out of the bag.... i think 99% of the people
here can be worked with, i don't think anyone here truly
thrives on being ignorant or intollerant, some of them have
just been conditioned so. i think with all the interaction
of cultures and styles of music, there's still hope for most
people here in accepting other people and other artforms.

well, yeah. i was being a bit dramatic there. nonetheless, i
can't stand it when people think the background behind the
music they listen to (or any of the art or media they
experience) is of no importance.
