whats everyone think of this?
i quite like it, just finished watching it for the second
time.
the beginning or the end of jim carreys career, depending on
how you look at it.

I think of it as closer to the middle of his career

What I mean is...i think his career sort of peaked early and
then sort of balanced out over the last few years. I think
now he is at the middle he will only go one of two
ways...which was basically the point you were making :D

I am drunk :p

that film was a good idea, but ultimately irritated me

It was almost redeemed by the punchline - "let's see
what else is on".

It's a good movie. End of his career? Perhaps. My favorite
movie of his is "rubberface".

I LOVE the darn thing, I just think it's absolutely
brilliant.

I probably also relate to it because I've throughout my life
thought I was in the same situation as Truman. And I'm
not lying.

you had a television stage light fall out of the sky?
the nagging suspicion that your dad didn't actually drown at
sea?
i'd like to know whats up with your life.

no, i just mean that i'd always pretended (i love
movies and acting, you see) that my entire life was really
just a movie.

............ok, shut up. i know i'm strange!

the funny thing is, the director (in the movie i mean) looks
exactly like my social studies teacher.

Exactly!

One of my favorite movies of all time. That town is really
cool too, in which it was filmed (seaside, florida).

I'm pissed that they don't have a better dvd available.
hopefully someday.

would have been better as a short film, i think.

and with anyone other than carrey.

and the music score was far too intrusive, never really felt
like it was part of the film.

having said all that, i didn't mind it. i'm just in a
critical sort of mood.

i like that film, just because i do, a nice film with a nice
ending and a nice fun middle.
