I've downloaded the full version of this twice. This
happened last time and I deleted the whole program. I want
to be able to use this .. but again I'm hit with this
message every time I try to open it.

An error has been signaled by the Protected Object
Server.

-> Application 'CubaseSX' has caused the error.
-> No Protection Device connected.

Connect device and click OK to retry.
Click CANCEL to abort.

[then, after aborting, I get the following message]

An error has occured:

- Unknown exception caught.

Click OK to continue.

my question is, what the fuck?
what [files?] am I missing here?

Hmmmm....have you cracked the program? It's quite a
complicated procedure to do it, but once it's done you
should be able to run Cubase with only one error (which you
can ignore).

care to elaborate on this complicated procedure?

wow. big help. thank you very much.

one question though.

the files specified in the system32\drivers section are ones
created in the installation (of cubase) process and not ones
vital to the proper functioning of my computer correct?

the synsoacc.dll file is a cubase one as well?

offline eXXailon from purgatory on 2003-04-17 17:13 [#00655545]
Points: 6745 Status: Lurker

As far as I know you can safely overwrite the files
mentioned. The files aren't deleted but overwritten with
newer/altered versions. I've made a back-up of...
- SynasUSB.sys
- NSynas32.sys
- Synsoacc.dll...just in case, but so far I didn't have to
restore them :)

tsk tsk...naughty, naughty! :D#

Anyway, I use Cakewalk Sonar, which a BOUGHT (*ahem*) and is
much better than Cubase, imho.

I love Cubase SX. 5.1 surround music rocks or something.

why is it that the manual web update, once it arrives at a
certain file that was not included in the previous version,
stops completely and asks if I want to 'rollover' any
changes made in this update??

I fart in your general direction.

cubase sx blows all the rest out of the water.

It's asking you for the 'dongle' Theo.... If you are not
going to buy it you need to find a dongle emulator.

Cakewalk is easier to use. And I'm not professional enough
to be arsed with 5.1.

what does "open the donglefiles.rar into your
C:\Windows\system32\ folder" mean?

I ask because I only have one 'dongle' file.. and it's an
emulator.. and I'm not sure what is meant by opening it
"into" said folder. do you mean transfer it to that folder?

2nd, overwrite which six files?

What do I do about this~!?!

Error

The file C:\WINNT\system32\SynsoNos.dll is not a valid
previous version and could not be upgraded.

folder

how many goddamn dongle files am I supposed to have?? ahaha
the thing I have is one, already extracted .rar file..
should I just move that to the system32 folder?

and should the manual upgrade installation be hitting that
abrupt end at that SynsoNos.dll file??

As far as I can remember there's only one RAR file included
in the cracked package. But you don't need to just move the
RAR to your system32 folder, you need to make sure that
the files that RAR contains end up in your system32
folder.

It's probably cracked the same way, theo. Steinberg put
heavy security on Cubase. Quite understandable, it costs
over $800 :\

Cubase SX cracked by Zone is pretty easy to install.

maybe if they dropped the price a sizable amount, they
wouldnt need to have all those heavy security measures.
$800 for a piece of software is bs no matter how fancy the
program is.

Yeah, but still there are lots of people who are willing to
pay that price. It's used for all kinds of music by all
kinds of people.
