Not sure if any of you have seen the mechanical chain
reaction advert for the new Honda Accord. Very impressive,
apparently it took 606 takes to get it right.

For UK peeps: If you call the Honda Contact Centre (0845 200
8000) you can get it on DVD/VHS gratis.

Watch the advert.

how is it fake? people have been doing these sort of videos
for years and years and with the kinds of buget car ads have
I think someone could pull it off

Took them 60 takes apparently! I assumed it was all CG type
stuff, but I heard some guy on the radio talking about how
they made it....

you cynic, loogie.

the tyres have been weighted with nuts and bolts inside.
sure it's cheating, but not of the 'digital' variety.

although you do have some reason to be suspicious.

because the advert makers couldn't fit all the kit into one
shot, it was done in two halves and linked with a
computer-generated exhaust pipe rolling across the floor.
