I just freed up like 2 gigs on my computer and am wondering what some good softsynths out there that are available to download or pirate. yes i'm too lazy/poor to actually buy the program let alone a REAL synth. i wanna fill up some space, c'mon give me your best shot....... |

download a warez version of Logic5, it's only 18MB and has some world-class builtin synths that will make you cum on yer own hedphonez |

Absynth, Z3ta+, FM7, Plex are my favorites. Also Athmosphere and Trilogy but those are +3gig downloads. :) |

theres a new novation one thats based on their "k-station" keyboard. i've heard its actually better than the hardware version. i think it might be called "v-station". |

for a soft synth that is souly based on Pads, try and get Atmosphere. I haven't tried it myself, but what iv'e read about it, it can do some pretty kick ass things. |

Yes, some are, usually ones that are heavily sample based... "The Grand" (probably the best emulation of a grand piano) is something like 3.5+gb as it uses hundreds of cd quality samples as a reference point for the synthesis :/ When you start dealing with stuff like that it really is worth forking out the £300 or so to save yourself the hassle. |
