well, boys and girls. the show here in calgary was last
night. for those of you unfamiliar with mr. buck, i suggest
you look into him. good stuff.

last night he called it "crap" like on the juno awards or
whatever it was where the guy made the joke about combining
hip hop and country. hip hop + country = crap. and that's
what he is. crap.

okay...right. i'm just gonna go now. anyways...right. yes.
makes me proud to be a canadian.

ambsace, have you heard weirdo magnet? or the revized
synesthesia rerelease? i wonder if i should be purchasing
these.

so... this is notfor ambsace, it's everyone! go to the link
if you like music. you know all those "crazy" quotes from
our old pal BARON VON PICKLEFOOT--you know what i'm talkin
about--many were buck65 lyrics! i think everyone had the
impression that it was just the wonderful creative lunacy of
the baron and i didn't want to burst the bubble. buck
threads on this board die faster than any others i think,
and i just imagine that at least some of you would be happy
to discover this man.

you're lucky buck plays so many shows on christmas island.
buck doesn't come to the midwest. if he ever has, it was a
freak accident.

buck is gonna be in town next week, for all you
edmontonians... you can catch him at the Likwid Lounge... or
you could watch him for FREE at Listen Records at 6 PM on
Tuesday night... i know i'll be there... in other news: Buck
is the shit! easily one of my favourite hip-hoppists (yes...
it's a word as of... NOW), and i'm aware that this
classifies me as a white-nerd-boy.... and i don't care...
"it was kiss this, kiss that... kiss my ass"

it's a hoot to listen to his older stuff because he has done
a lot of experimentation with his delivery, kind of chancing
it, which has resulted in an evolution that makes him sound
like a different person on different records... almost. he
raps at a higher pitch on the older stuff. less convincing
of a story teller, more convincing of a battler (he did used
to do the battle thing, and was too ill for his own good).

i'll wait on commenting on buck65 till i'm able to hear
"square". i kinda like his vocals on boom bip's latest but i
think i'd get tired of that voice tone and lyrical style
after a couple songs. wasn't feeling my man on some gayass
anticon radio freestyle i heard. wondering if he's remixing
new radiohead, as they're apparently mutual fans and
acquainted with each other.

he's mentioned the possiblity of some radiohead collab or
remix, nothing certain though. listen to the link i gave
for a song from sqaure.

"phil" audio and video is excellent! thanks jupitah.

sweet. i really love the food song. nothing beets it in
the eyes of my loving stomache.

not sure if you care, but from buck, possiby for your site:

"The last few days have been spent putting the very last
touches
on the new album. Shhhh... Don't tell anyone. It's called
'The Talkin' Honky Blues'. It's heavy as hell..."

i bought 'square' a few days ago. pretty good, but that
song about food, it ruins everything.

good beats though.
