I'm pretty sure you all have those times (almost wrote periods here) where you listen intensive to (electronic) music. In the end you have the feeling being total blown away and then it strikes. Silence. Hard to find complete silence. I love that feeling. Any similar expierences?

Complete silence is impossible
even when everything around youm kaes no noise, you can still hear your body functioning
But i know what you mean man, when i listen to stuff on my headphones, i tkae them off and there is nothing but silence as i walk down the road, it's amazing, sometimes i prefer to listen to that then my music when im walking

I agree on the total silence thing. When you take a walk after a brainblowing electrosession, your hearing is really sharpened and you hear things you wouldn't otherwise notice. It's strange, it's like seeing with your ears. :)

If I do that I would DEFINATLY not hear silence. I have had ringing for my ears in 8 years. I haven't heard the bliss of silence in all that time. If I hear just a bit loud music, then I have worse ringing in 2-3 days

The only silence-feeling I've known like that is the moment between the end of a symphony and the applause. Just as the last vibration of the violin strings drops off in the concert hall, there's a moment of very deep silence. Sometimes, in its more powerful moments, the whole audience catches it and holds it for a moment longer, and it's extraordinary.

I like the silence after a good movie (esp. anime). ^^
I remember the silence after Evangelion and Lain. You almost don't dare say a word.

Oh, yer into anime as well, kalaim? ^_^ This has nothing to do with silence, but you don't happen to know where I can get Conan, the Boy in Future
or The Adventures of Hols, Prince of the Sun?

yes, Lain... the silence in it matters a lot. for the ambiance and all. : )
(this makes me want to put on one of my Lain avatars... but i don't think a lightsaber would suit her ^^)
sometimes i don't want to listen to music but not silence either... these times is when "music" like Merzbow is welcome... ^^
