i'm working on a track out of a kick drum, but i fucking
used mad dsp and fx on that shit so it doesnt sound anything
like a bassdrum
is that allright?
i'll out put th song up when it's done regardless

That was cool xigoo (and fit in the "rules" well)

I guess the only major rule is you have to only use one
shortish sound for a composition. If you want to limit
yourself further to a single note/be able to use
effects/make some other rule/etc, that's up to you if you
want. (yeah, I just used modplug sadist. It's pretty easy
since you can save wavs and import the wavs you save at a
higher octave)

I actually had an older track that was a little bit similar,
so I changed it so it only contains one single click sound.
I didn't spend a whole lot of time on this track either.

Um can I use the single sound, but have it set up like
this:

Click
Click (w/ reverb)
Click (w/ bass booster)
...
etc?

i dunno...do you mean some completely random sound like
clicks?
i made plenty of tracks utilizing only ONE SOUND (but it was
a melodic sound)

The main challenge I'd like to do myself is to make a track
with only ONE NOTE (but in my own personal challenge I can
use as many octaves of this note as I want) and only ONE
SHORT SOUND. If you want to make your own challenge somehow
related to this feel free to- it'll be interesting to hear
it.

I made another one.

"only 1 click sound 3"
This one is better I think but it snarkles.

xuetre - klik traq

heres my effort... never worked this way so dont expect
anything fantastic. the track is completely made up of the
click track you hear at the beginning. yes, everything is
that, although it may not sound it thanks to granulisers and
stuff. hope i didnt break the rules. let me know what you
think

I find it hard to believe that no one has mentioned the
track "Boing" which I think came out 5+ years ago. I can't
remember any track listing details but I know it was the one
boing sample created into a whole track, I think it might
have had something to do with the "technohead album", does
anybody else remember this track?

i vaguely remember that, i thought it was called poing but
probably who cares :)
i made a quick track with just one sound, alas i have
nowhere to upload it to. what a waste of time :)

i like the fact that i can just swap to a different sample
and it sopunds like a different tune

I've got an (admiteddley not very good)track I could enter
into this. Anyone willing to host it as it'd take a few
weeks for me to get it on mp3.com?

My song was made out of the sound a beer can makes. Only
one sound though. Just stretched the hell out of it. I
love 24-bit audio. I got laid because of the that can of
beer so I made a song out of it.

Those were all cool. Lotsa symmmmmmmetry. Unfortunately, you
all JUST missed the deadline. We are doing the "make an
entire track using only one finger" project now. All tracks
submitted for the previous project will be deleted from this
thread and the creators will be banned by phobiazero. We
will vote for 3 distinguished categories in the upcoming
project. They are listed below followed by the respective
prize for that category.
loser1- nothing
loser2- nothing
loser3- nothing

this is really, seriously depressing. i apparently have very
limited musical abilities. i'm not even going to POST my
effort, because it just plain sucks ass.

tab: your's rules.

I've got a (very poor) one that I did ages ago. It's
basically just me practising a rhythm scratching a single
beat, but getting bored and changing it al the time. I'll
chuck it on zebox tonight and post the link. The one thing I
like about it is the frequency of the note (when I scratch
it fast) is just enough to really hit you in the chest.

Here's my tatty submission: single note scribble solo
It is all one note (played at different speeds) and the
record doesn't skip once. Done just using a single PDX2000
record deck, no mixer. Comments welcome.

I liked yours, kettle. These are weird. I liked that one too
ceri. I "cheated" on my second one by having notes.
