i know this was supposedly a VERY rare album (if it even is
an album) that rich did. i just downloaded 4 tracks labeled
as q chastic from slsk, and i was just wondering if anyone
else has heard them, so i can know if they're really the q
chastic tracks?

THESE ARE FUCKING FAKES....

Dont tell me...4 tracks...96kbs...

Have a listen to em...they are so obviously from 2 or 3
years back...Fruitloops demo vibe...

Apart from the track everyone already has...

(Sorry for swearing but I answer at least 5 emails a week on
this and over the last week it seems to gone up even
more....it's so funny when you actually hear the tracks as
only a real fool would msitake em for the real thing...if it
actually exists...)...

program...

track 2 = 9m06s

the only thing that does bother me is that they sound really
clear...so unless someone had ripped really good mp3s....but
even still, it was only pressed on vinyl, so you'd hear the
pops and clicks....but i so want to believe they're the real
thing...anyone else?

i've done some perfect recording off of vinyl. no pops or
anything. so it could have just been a realllll clean record
or something ^^

Most test pressings have flaws and generally the sound
quality is poor - my AB5 is a good example of that in some
places on the disc.

The Q-Chastic tracks you refer to are fake, but the real
tracks do exist - however, very few people (if any) still
have the few pressings that were made. Richard doesn't even
have one anymore. They only exist as DATs now.

mike paradinas has SAID that he's NEVER seen it in richard's
house or in the rephlex vault. i'm sure it exists but i
think that "test press" factoid is just a rumor no one has
ever proven true.

Richard himself has told me that to his knowledge no test
presssings exist anymore, but somebody might have a few out
there. Both him and Grant no longer have them (Grant claims
his was misplaced, and the only other person I know who had
one was Alan Perry who claimed it was 'stolen'. Richard said
though the DATs are at his parent's house in _____, and he
was going to get me samples, but ah, you know what happened
next :\

Grant says the tracks are not that good anyways and can't
see why everyone goes on about wanting it... I'm beginning
to agree with him.

I think people just want to hear it because it's the only
thing that they know exist and haven't heard, regardless of
quality.

No, what happened next? Is there an interesting story?
