ahh damn school i have to write a 3 page report comparing and contrasting the Civil War reconstruction to the Iraq reconstruction but i dont know what to say.. any ideas? |

well both the confederation and iraq immediately needed/need to have an interim governing system to be put in place by the forces that did the overthowing. you could also link this to japan after ww2. the us military occupied japan enforcing strict limitations on culture, languages and reformed their educational system. both have internal systems of government[obviously] resources, commerce, law, order and the general societal infastructure sent into utter disarry and near destruction as a result of a war effort from which they desperately need to rebuild |

Refuse on the basis that the recontruction after the civil war was through a strive for independence of your nation, where as what is going to happen in Iraq is not going to be a reconstruction but instead a plan to expand US oil interests through an illegal occupation of a foreign nation. |
