Are there any in the near future? I feel like I have no way
of knowing now that .nu is not being updated .. of course
I'm sure I'd hear about it here. I just had the
heart-wrenching experience of missing them on the 'confield
tour,' or whatever it'd be called, last year and can't have
it happen again!

i saw them live in vancouver a couple years ago. their show
was quite lame. absolutely nothing to see. just dark,
smoke and the glowing apples of their laptops. the music
they played was kinda cool.. for a while.. but it was
completely unrecgonizable. they had about an hour set with
what sounded like 4 different songs that were basically
really hard fast loud barrages of beats.
i have to say that after about 20 minutes i was praying for
them to mix it up a bit and at least play something a little
more chilled out or familiar. anyway i felt quite cheated
by the end of the show.. i did buy a t-shirt though. that
was probably the highlite of the show.

Haha, you didn't! I hope she liked it anyway.. thanks for
taking action, I would be too afraid to :). Maybe if I sent
her a whole CD's worth she'd reply, I used her in pretty
much every song and cover art I've made.

co-existence: yeah, If I find out anything I'll let you know
as well.

i did too.. i thought she'd at least reply to say she liked
it or thought it was funny, but she's too stuck up
apparently? i think if you sent that cd she might not find
it such a novelty though. i think just picking another song,
not all of them, might be a better idea.

Aw man, that must have been royally disappointing .. of
course I like barrages of loud beats.. but I guess if that
is ALL it was, then it could get old.

tits: Good point .. separate mp3s would get her more
curious. Of course she's married now :( so maybe she's too
busy for me and her sickly obsesssive fans. *boo hoo*. oh
well, you still have her addy?

I heard a recording of the show in vancouver and I thought
it was super amazing. It was almost all new stuff, and I
really like that kind of music. I am super impressed by the
fact that they come up with completely new music live. I had
a dream about seeing them play live last night or the night
before. It was cool, I got to meet them and everything...
I'm not obsessed! Really! But, I think out of any group, I'd
want to see them live most (well, except maybe Skinny
Puppy... They put on a REAL show. Autechre just sits there)
because they come up with completely new music. Most artists
just play stuff off of their CDs and it sounds slightly
different. I feel like by being there, you somehow take a
part in the creation of the great new music. Well, I guess
that doesn't make too much sense, but.....
