Why are you waiting so long?? I bought it as soon as UPS delivered it to my local indie store this morning. Of course I had to sit through six hours of philosophy classes before i could hear it. I think its stranger than Confield. (Which is a good thing.)

The stupid music store near me doesn't have the Plaid remix album; I was pissed to say the least.

When I listen to this album I can't help but think of mechanistic DMT aliens spittering and chittering to each other. Anyone listened to this thing on some good drugs?

pachi, Borders is where i got mine just a couple hours ago. still haven't listened to it. i'm gonna get some herb soon, so i figure i'll hear it a couple times sober, then see how it is high. also some shrooms might play a part in there somewhere.

Well, after listening to Draft 7.30 for six days, I am nothing less than astounded by this album. The more I listen to it the better it gets. This one is so good, it may be challenging Chiastic Slide as my favorite Ae release. No other modern music intellectually stimulates me the way Autechre does.

after one listen i think draft = lp5+ep7. the sounds on Confield are more lush and complex and organic. why were people saying it's Confield part 2? they sound nothing alike imo.

is there anyone who doesn't like draft? i haven't heard any of it, but i only liked two tracks on confield (scose poise, uviol), and did not enjoy gantz graf at all. i appreciate that there are those who sing the merits of these recordings, but are there those who found cf and gg disappointing but enjoy draft? any feedback?

Right here. I didn't think too highly of Confield or Gantz Graf but, from what small bit I heard,am very impressed with Draft 7.3. There's a very discernable method inside all that gurgling detail - a lot easier to sink into than the aforementioned two. I'll give you a definate answer once I get ahold of my own copy.

no offense, but i think people are afraid to admit that they dont like this release. everybody was waiting for this album and just expected it to meet their expectations, so naturally, with music this complex/abstract/mechanical, you cant just say it sucks right away.
now i'm going to buy this album without having listened to it, just because everybody here is so enthusiastic about it. i wont blame you guys if it sucks though. but i'm just sayin..

Yeah I'm lovin' it lovin' it. I think I made the right choice taking a short cut through Ae's discog (buying Tri Repetae then skipping Chiastic Slide, LP5 AND Confield to get to Draft 7.30).
Can't really tell the tracks apart, but that don't matter 'cause they all sound fucking sweet!
