What do folk think of the backlash from Radiohead regarding
the new album leak? The Greenwood brothers seem really upset
about it, as it is still unmixed, and their record company
are threatening legal action against any sites with the
MP3s. Now I see what they are getting at but the fact is
they should have been more careful in making sure that the
songs didn`t get into the wrong hands. I mean, HOW did they
get leaked? Was it some messenger boy delivering DAT tapes?
It seems a little too late. I'll still buy the album though.

I rekon the band released them.

Thom supports mp3's.

Tee hee! It gives me a thrill to think of the expressions
on their confused celebrity faces!

You CANNOT stop an album getting out of the studio now. It's
impossible, every release which has some interest always
finds it's way onto some sort of network a month or so
before release. In the Radiohead case, it's a shame as the
tracks were rough and unfinished - so give it another couple
of weeks and the proper one will be available... ;)

New Radiohead album completely unlistenable
Graduate musos achieve ultimate anti-statement
by Jon Heal
The forthcoming album Try This For Size by rock wailers
Radiohead has been joyously greeted as the most unlistenable
album of all time.

Reviewers have announced that even after 30 listens, they
are still unable to come up with suitable
all-encompassing-but-witty-and-urbane-musical-tweaker
compound expressions to explain its genius.

Lead singer for the band, Thom Yorke, explained his vision
in a press release printed on tin foil. "We've been trying
to abdicate quietly from this whole 'fame' bollocks for
three years now," he said. "But it's backfired, to be
honest. Two albums of atonal nonsense have topped the
charts. This time out we've abandoned instruments, logic and
all the cheery elements of our output the kids have grown to
love. Even we can't listen to this one. Are you people thick
or something?"

The single For Heaven's Sake features only a static hum and
Yorke whimpering about imaginary slaughterhouses. "Let's see
them stick that on CD:UK," muttered guitarist Jonny
Greenwood, whose only contribution to the album was flinging
clods of wet earth at a miked-up wall.

The album has already gone triple-platinum on advance sales
alone, and is expected to top the charts for 11 years.

I know where to get rough mixes of the album, still studio
recordings tho.

I must say, the rough mixes sound really really really
really good, and I'm a big radiohead fan!

If the whole thing was fake and then they released the
real album later...

..dude, they would go down in history as the coolest
motherfuckers ever.

i really dont understand why people waste that moment of
putting a new record on for the first time.
i've had so many excellent times just chilling to a new
record with friends after i bought it.
examples in recent times have been drukqs and geogaddi.
i certainly dont believe in downloading my favourite artists
music.

I don't really care about the shiny plastic thing the album
comes on, I just want to hear music. Call me crazy.

I don't really understand why people can get so upset about
people who get the stuff off the net. I don't know about you
but since the euro came in to play the prices of just about
everything haven't been at all too userfriendly, and it's
becoming a "get married and BOTH make money or die" society
over here, so get angry that I'm not shelling out a whopping
25 euro for a CD when I can get the same shit for free.

i dont get upset by it...its not me who's losing money for
my hard work.

I'm not downloading anything EVER with the intention of
burning it to cd. I always download to get an overall look.

i feel kinda bad that it was leaked, and because of the fact
that i can't stop listening to it, even if it is a demo.
i know that most people who are going to pay for the cd, is
still going to pay even if they had downloaded the demo
version of the album beforehand. most people who are not
willing to wait and pay for the album, but download it,
would not buy the album even if it wasn't on the internet..
