I gave Mirwais's 'Production' a listening today, and I have
to say that this is some pretty rad stuff, I had heard some
mirwais before in the shape of a song that he did for
madonna called 'music', and also spotted a song in the movie
'snatch' (disco science) and I always thought that this guy
had something up his sleeve, and I was right,

the album starts off with the screechy overdriven synth's of
'disco science', I'd heard this song already but it owns
arse none the less, this is one powerful song

'Naive song' kicks in with awesome glitchy acoustic guitars
and warped pseudo pop lyrics,.. needless to say, this song
makes me smile

'v.i. (the last words she said before leaving)' start off
quiet with weird ass' bass and slowly morphs into a nice
rolling electro funk, with some nice beats, gets louder and
louder, and keeps chunking up,

'I can't Wait' starts with the overly common 'whistling
drone' sound that seems so overused nowadays, but quckly
turns into another quality track

'Junkies Prayer' ermm,... I can't explain this song, you
just have to hear it for yourself, let me just explain that
this is the most trip induced song EVER MADE

'Definitive Beat' is a flurry of breaks and scratching,
definitely chilling music,

'Paradise (not for me)' featuring the guest vocals of
madonna, reminds me of plaid,

'Never Young' ........ sexy

'Involution' The final song, and appropriately weird too,
makes me wish the album wasn't coming to and end

this is definately a party album, It's good to finally see
some good electro pop.

I agree Mirwais is excellent. Too bad he hasn't come out
with a new album... or an EP... or ANYTHING. Production came
out before he produced Madonna's and that was a long time
ago:(

He IS great!
I think Paradise (not for me) is one of the most beautiful
songs ever made.
Madonna worked on it a lot too .
She did more than just letting him use her voice.
That is why it's on her album (music) too.

The rest of the album is fantastic too.

When you're into production, listen to Madonna's album.
it sounds VERY mirwais!
you could even say some songs on production are kind of
demoversions of madonna's.
and vice versa.
