Just wait till Richie releases another full length album. I don't think he's overated at all. He still makes better music than AE (IMHO). But thats just my opinion. I own 20+ AFX records and 1 Autechre, but I have heard almost all of them. Just my opinion though. Then again I think Incunabula is Autechre's best album too, and I know I will get some disagreement there... |

No but really my first autechre album was confield and I hated it at first, My first "IDM" (or whatever you call it) album was SAW2 then RDJ album, and then confield...turned me off from autechre for awhile until I heard Incunabula...Strange but now confield is one of my favorite albums |

First ae I bought was EP7, it totally blew me away (it was the first cd I bought really, I didn't know much about music in those days). I had a listen to it at the music store cos I thought the cover art was intriguing and omg, Autechre really got me into music in general, I don't know where I'd be without 'em :) Neither ae or afx are overrated, they are both gods |

again, you mean to say that your opinion is less approving than the consensus, not that the consensus is over rating. but that's probably obvious. I love come to daddy windowlicker and RDJ album. Listen to the rdj album, damn it is really really well made.. and friggin weird. |
