its noisy and interesting. the sound isn't well defined into
units like percussion really, which is pointless to say
because it's obvious. i'm typing this with my left hand only
while i eat a sandwich with my right, which explains why i'm
not capitalizing letters. um.. at the beginning the
progression wasn't really linked/ unified (ahh finished my
sandwich).. it just switched and played around which is
obvious again, but all well. The ending was cool. are you
doofing an autechre remix'll?

thanks darrius. :)

LeCoeur: I have set my alarmclock and will be expecting a
reply by you in about 80 minutes. :P

w M w: interesting points. I agree, structurally its not
that great. one of the hardest things to get right without
repeating yourself continually.

yes, I am doing an se remix. are you?

please note the 50-minute time discrepancy between LeCoeurs
post and mine.

I do that all the time (purposely misspell stuff so I have
an excuse to bump it again later). It's gonna be awesome
listening to everyone's best attempts (probably).

DID your alarm GO off yet??? =D

ahhaha.......well i GOT it and listened (twice).....and well
my honest opinion as always.....it's not the style of MOOSIQ
i'm really into. reminded me of vsnares and ae's confield -
more noisey than melodic. i prefer MORE melodic IDM and so
while it's not MY fav, i'm sure there will be peepz loving
this cos in the other arena it's good. dunno if it was my
compooter but it seemed to cut out (3x) for just a few
seconds.....maybe it was my computer or dunno what, but
thought i'd mention it.

* THANK YOU for sharing and NOT SPAMMING the MB*

QUOTE i think is apropos for ya -

this song is good. i think it is a socio-political
commentary on the fluctuations
in public perceptions of civil rights and their connection
to the natural order.

right?

thanks, LeCoeur!

do you think its noisy? I don't think it is, really. there's
a lot going on, yeah.. :)
I think the cuts you mention are supposed to be there. :P

evolume:
you are right. kind of in your face, isn't it?

Being totally honest I don't really like it. It sounds more
sample based than microsound texture, which I think you
where aiming for, if you know what I mean.

I might be wrong though, and I am drunk so maybe in the
morning I will think differently. :D

yeah,
actually it reminds me of some old skinny puppy. very dark
electric brain violence.

ha ha :)

the drunk comment made me laugh.. I'm a birt tirpsy
myrself.. :)

I wasn't really aiming for anything - be it sample based or
microsound texture. actually, what is microsound texture?

anyways - sounds like a nice experiment, see if you like it
better when you're less drunk.. :P

evolume:
people think my stuff is dark a lot of the time. always
amazes me - I don't see it like that, most of the time.

well it certainly isn't
drive around in the jeep on a sunny day, will smith style:
"Summa' Summa' Summa' time, oooh summa time... time to sit
back and unwind"
kind of music. well maybe it is, let me listen again...

i like that little kitty kat avatar btw

The MAX program Ae are meant to use does the microsound
stuff, there is a version for the PC called PD, but it is a
bit ruff and ready.

If you go to the cycling74 website there are music samples from
various artists and some of them are cool.

btw. cycling74 is the official distributor for MAX now, I
can't wait for the Windows version :D

oh and I think I have just invented the term microsound in
association with stella artois.

yea i use max/msp... i guess the only reason you call it
micro sound is because everything you do is gonna be
straight up digital. you can load samples and run loops,
but as you get futher into it you will be only interested in
digital stuff, once you see how it all works....

i got one of Ae's live patches the other day, its pretty
cool, and actually its pretty basic. however this is not
their studio patch, which i would assume is doing some crazy
algorithmic stuff.

seeeeee TOLD ya!!! and my BF explained that it wasn't like
confield or vsnares.....and i didn't mean that
ACTUALLY.....i just meant that it reminded me of that vein
of music......

now i know why they call them BRAINDANCE........they drive
my synapses into a frenzy (me no likes!) T hee

LeCoeur: you had your BF explaining that..? :P
it was kind of a broad range, from confield to vsnares. :)

clic: I agree! the sounds are all kind of soft, I guess, not
a lot of agressive stuff going on.

not really my style, if karel appel's paintings were music I
guess that song would be a good representation.
It all sounds like it's just a bunch of sounds thrown in at
random under the name of art.

don't worry, many people are willing to pay tons of money
his stuff!
You may just have a promising musical carreer. Give "Karel"
a phonecall, maybe he would like a musical companion to some
of his expositions ;)
