well... I still kinda like meat.
But I gave up eating it quite recently (half a year).
But I don't see any logic in cooking food > you won't
improve anything by adding some fire to it.

I advise you to do some research then, I don't have any
report lying here, so...

I rarely eat meat...
only at (very) special occations...
also meat lies like 2-3 days in your stommach... doesn't
seem like we're good
at breaking it down.

Seriously tibbar...
you're only grown up with cooking.
If you'd grown up without cooking you wouldn't miss it...
There's no improvement in nutrition when cooking.

hehe...
I have no problem with people eating meat. Do whatever you
want with the dead animal.
But I don't like to see people treat animals bad while
they're alive (and that is pretty much how it is in a lot of
places).
Animals may treat eachother how they feel like... cause
whatever they do, it's mostly just "natural" behaviour
anyway...

Key_Secret, no doubt. I don't believe in the separation of
the body and the soul, they are one and the same. so
naturally, diet effects the mind and the spirit.

Morgoth, no thanks. i don't think we're in disagreement on
anything really, just detail.

ultimately, for me, no diet out there is attuned to my
particular body and i'm sensitive enough so that my body
lets me know if my diet is good or not. essentially the
highest wisdom is beyond rationalization and planning. the
universe speaks the truth this moment in the language of
non-symbolic feeling. all the diet books are suppliments to
the source of true knowledge.

well... you got a point.
But cooking can never improve food (no matter if it feels
"right")... a lot of people has missed that point. If we
can't eat something raw, then we shouldn't eat it.
We're trying to create something perfect with our
societies... but the most perfect place for man is still as
close to nature as you can get (in the parts of the world
that is possible).

Also if you've eaten cooked food all your life you don't
know what it's like eating only pure food (raw organic
fruit/vegetables).

not saying I disagree with you...
maybe I'm just tired... ah well.

to me, food is an art.... what you're suggesting sounds like
leaving paint in the tube. just mho.

Guess we're not in disagreement at all, I just couldn't
answer to all your questions or so.

But this has been an interesting thread.

no one can deny that cooking and meat are actually not worth
it, except for that great taste we got so used to...

i appreciate your efforts herbavores!
you do a lot for yourselves and animals.

to everyone who doesnt agree:
