perhaps you should try with kim hiorthoy he makes very nice music
he also does most (i think all) covers for rune grammofon - a norwegian record label with some brilliant artists (monolight, phonophani, arne nordheim,...)
http://www.runegrammofon.com/
if you want to know more about his drawings/paintings you should ask surrounded to tell you something about it as he's a big fan of his work
and his music is great as well!
here's a sample of his cover (it all seems pretty simple, but its a lot like his music-simple but beautiful)...

just about the whole of the 4ad catalogue - pixies, breeders, throwing muses, Kristin Hersh, Frank Black etc.
almost all album art was made by one man, Vaughan Oliver. I have a great book with his designs. wonderful. :)

oh, and you have to check paul d miller (dj spooky) if you havent yet, i was into his music before aphex and he is great
he also does other art, so you check him out (he seems like a pretty smart fellow, perhaps you could even contact him and see what happens...)
here's a short info abot him:
Paul D. Miller is a New York based musician, conceptual artist, and writer best known under his "constructed persona" as "Dj Spooky that Subliminal Kid". He was the first editor at large of "Artbyte: The Magazine of Digital Arts", and his articles have appeared in The Village Voice, Artforum, Rap Pages, Paper Magazine, The Source, and many other magazines and journals. His art work is based employs a wide variety of digitally create music and multi-media to create a form of post-modern sculpture in the tradition of composers such as John Cage and Afrika Bambaata. He has collaborated with a wide variety of pre-eminent musicians and composers such as Iannis Xenakis, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Butch Morris, Kool Keith a.k.a. Doctor Octagon, Killa Priest of Wu-Tang Clan, Yoko Ono and Thurston Moore from Sonic Youth amongst many others. Miller's artistic work has appeared in the Whitney Biennial, the Venice Biennial for Architecture (year 2000), the Ludwig Museum in Cologne, Germany, Kunsthalle, Vienna, The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh. His most recent projects include the "Unfinished Stories", a three way collaborative effort between the Pulitzer Prize winning NY Times Critic, Margo Jefferson, and Francesca Harper, a dancer and choreographer with Bill Forsythe's Frankfurt Ballet company, as well as several books and novels that will be published in 2003.
