- being jhon malkovic (so boring and unfunny) (indeed it is
shite)
- amélie (amelie poulain) (pretentious crap, fails to
deliver in the end)
- the sixth sense (is good once, and was never scary)
- the ring ( I like the american version over the japanese
original, I think I'm alone in this)
-mullholand drive (dunno but Mulholland drive is a great
movie.)

- titanic ( good movie despite the fact that everybody is
out to bash it )
- usual suspect (felt asleep twice =) (fell asleep thrice :P
Booooooooooring)
- A.I. (great movie until the final part where it gets the
good old spielberg sentimentalism treatment)
- matrix (great movie, inspiring stuff)
- crouching tiger hidden dragon (great at first ,great
soundtrack anyway, then I found it shite a long time and now
I want to see it again. Not a movie you'd watch for martial
arts though, cuz it sux in this one)

just currious why you listed A.I. as a film that people
usually like? I honestly don't think I know of a single
person that liked it.

I really wanted to like it. i wanted to like it so bad that
even though it totally sucked i left the movies saying that
it was ok. but, then i rented it when it came out on DVD
and realized that it really didn't have many redeeming
factors at all.

did anyone think this was actually a good film? I'm still
pissed at kubrick for dying before he completed it. it had
potential.

- the sixth sense
- gangs of new york
- todo sobre mi madre
- el dia de la bestia
- star wars episode 1
- lord of the rings: the fellowship of the ring (though now
i like it more than the first time)
- any james bond film (people love them, for me they are
just ok or even boring some times)

dazed and confused - most overrated movie ever
the matrix - good but most matrix fans (i don't mean
"hardcore fans", but people who list it as one of their
favorite movies) don't even watch other sci-fi/futurist
movies
[any teen comedy here]

reservoir dogs - woooah that movie is overrated.

hard knock life tour - utter, utter shit!

nacmat: kubrick developed A.I. for 20 years, including
getting chris cunningham to create robots for it. apparently
none of the work kubrick put into A.I. was used in the film
("except for his SPIRIT" *sob, sob*)

what kind of sissy thinks titanic was a good movie? sorry,
that's just.... unfathomable.

I like pretty much every movie listed here.

EVEN

TITANIC

And that Fucking Amal film is great, such cute girls... mmm.

Nuttin'... it's not great, but it's not awful. The love
story bores me because I'm too manly for that, but I like
the sinking. And I can sit through the character develocrap
because Kate Winslet alone redeems it for me.

some of the direction notes kubrick made for AI were used by
spielberg.. the scene where the mother is programming the
robot child is exactly as kubrick wrote it.. and there are
references to every one of his films in AI.. and he mimicked
his technique in many scenes

kubrick never planned to direct it.. he actually wanted it
to be "a stanley kubrick production" directed by spielberg
because it was "closer to his sensibilities" .. and that's
exacly how it turned out

I hate 'the sixth sense' and everything that m. night
(that's not even his name by the way) whatevermaylan has
directed.. even w/ the explanations at the end, there is no
way the bruce willis character wouldnt have caught on blah
blah blah

DOGMA
I dont even want to start.. because if I did, I would end up
copying and pasting what I write and repost the second half
of it.. I just cant believe people actually fell for that
shit and thought it was a good movie AT ALL

Blue Velvet wasnt that great

I dont knwo.. there's more I cant think of any right now
though

blue velvet is one of my favorite movies..

movies people like but i can't stand:

insomnia (what a pile of shit. i am glad i never watched
memento. fucking crap.)
vanilla sky (the characters were awful, tom cruise is gay,
the plot was dumb...)
panic room maybe? although i think most people forgot about
that one after they saw it.

i'm with you on titanic. i would never rent it or anything,
but, i also wasn't a hardcore titanic hater.

i think a lot of the reason guys hated it is their hate
towards leo. same thing with most brad pitt movies... until
he redeemed himself with fight club.

though..

haha there was this incredibly funny part in titanic where
aahaha i can't say it's macabre but it sure was funny!

movies i don't like people seem to like: kung-fu films.
jackie chan, jet li, bla bla bla, even if they had a great
plot the WATAAH stuff just ruins the film for me.. hated
'crouching tiger hidden dragon'

hehehhe

i'm a true film fanantic ( i know a few others on here Evil
Q and Tolstoyed) so i think i see films in a different light
that a lot of you's guys. i can honestly say that i disagree
with everything glass has to say in regards to the films
he's mentioned. polar opposites.

that said, very few movies are completely worthless IMO, i
will say some have not as much to offer as others but again
i LOVE movies, and even non-mind blowing ones entertain me
for a moment or twelve. =0)

the only movie i've walked out of.....hummmmmm can't think
of one (i've not seen some movies mentioned on here
tho......so who knows)

an titantic was cool......i mean did you see kates
dresses!!!! TO DIE FOR......iaiaiaiiaiia
