hey thats life. simple solution: dont use computers!
seriously though, computers are totally different to
everything else you would buy. if your tv took 2 mins to
start then suddenly crashed halfway through a film, or your
washing machine refused to wash odd socks or your fridge
worked intermittantly the you would take them back to the
shop, but somehow people are prepared to live with defective
computers. strange, no?

Go for windows XP pro or Linux. The only way to get anything
like stability sadly...

That's sad.

I once had a logic board die on me - at least the data
didn't get fucked with.

Music is a bitch for crashing machines... all I can suggest
is try turning off the fx until you render it :/

dave_g > not that strange... some people accept it because
they realise computers are so much complicated, there's got
to be bugs and problems somewhere! ( and it's the same thing
with human bodies, kinda... except that we cannot really
change them, at least not in our lives : / )

but mostly because a bugless computer doesn't exist, and
computers are still wonderful bitches!
if bugless computers would exist and if computers weren't
that useful, people would not accept it (or not that much)
of course.
