...aside from Microsoft products:
Bryce.
I can't count the times I've had my retinas burned by the visual equivalent of amateur New Age music.

I accidently clicked on a bonzai buddy link, and they automatically pop up a message prompt that asks you if you want to set your default homepage to bonzaibuddy.

fruity loops is up there, it's just not as good as it could be when it needs to be.
and fucking Quicktime, when you use it, automatically puts itself in your start up, so you have to go to "msconfig" and delete it again, ridiculous.

Windows 2000 actually doesn't suck as long as you replace Outlook Express and Internet Explorer with Pegasus and Mozilla (or Opera).
I find with service pack 3 it's been very stable and runs at a good clip. Every once in a while they get something right. :-)

Win2000 is far better than winxp in my opinion. Cubase VST32 pisses me off endlessly. I always seems to crash and my computer just keeps playing some sound over and over like a machine gun until I resart.
Cubase SX is awesome though.
