no i haven't. is that available somewhere anymore?

catharsis: thats is why i think they released it as
amorphous.. it would be so much easier if people didn't know
it was the same team. god knows i had prejudices when i got
it. i still think i'd liked it anyway, it's a really great
album, fsol or not fsol. it's stupid not to like it because
its not like their other stuff. (hei richards releases
differ alot don't they? and he has even more aliases..)

when richard varies his style, he still sounds good. this
album sounds like a joke. a joke that cost me 18 dollars.

in fact, anyone want to buy this c.d. off me? REAL CHEAP
make an offer.

The album sits at number 3 in my alltime favourite albums.
I'm also proud in saying I was the first member of the
public to hear the album. I got the original promo (for my
FSOL website) off Ebay for...a fuckload of money, this time
last year.
I now have seven copies of the album. Galaxial
Pharmaceutical is my favourite song ever. I love everything
about the album. It's got elements of late sixties and
seventies rock, and elements of nineties electronica - my
two favourite times for music. It's somewhere inbetween
electronica and rock, which is a brilliant mix, I think. And
it's quite uplifting, without being cheesy overall.

Did I mention I like it?

By the way, the new single's going to be Divinity.
Can I plug my FSOL site again?

(I only posted this to make Evolume feel sick ;))

You can get the Mello Hippo EP for a fiver from the official
site (futuresoundoflondon.com)...however, the details are
currently only posted in the forum. They haven't updated the
shop in almost two years...

hehe,

wow, top 3? I can't comprehend that. what are your top five
albums?

offline purlieu from Leeds (United Kingdom) on 2003-04-17 12:00 [#00655160]
Points: 1228 Status: Lurker

1.FSOL/Lifeforms
2.Blur/Parklife
3.Amorphous Androgynous/The Isness (promo/mispress version)
4.Manic Street Preachers/The Holy Bible
5.Radiohead/Kid A

I think. I dunno, my top 10 is pretty messed up, everything
outside the top three constantly changes. There's stuff from
AFX to the Moody Blues in there...

hmm..
i like all those albums except of course the Isness. though
none of them would make my top five.
my top 5: (currently)
1. Aphex Twin - I care because you do
2. NIN - The Downward Spiral
3. Aphex Twin - SAWII
4. David Bowie - Low
5. Skinny Puppy - Last Rights

hmm.. its really difficult to pick a top five acutally.

My top five favorite FSOL releases:

1. ISDN
2. Dead Cities
3. Lifeforms
4. Paths ( i am a big cocteau twins fan too!)
5. Tales of ephidrina

SAWII is one of the albums that constantly moves around in
the top 10. The rest are pretty good, but again, none are
my favourites...

To do FSOL releases...hmmm...
1.Lifeforms
2.The Isness
3.My Kingdom
4.Dead Cities
5.Accelerator

yeah SAWII makes my top five mostly because i have had the
album for 6 or 7 years and i still listen to it about once a
month.

Neeta....I know. I'm from Canada, it's released as FSOL
here, but when I went back to allmusic.com I realized that
they used their AA psuedonym. It's kind of their
experimental persona.

Still like Tales of Ephidrena better....maybe you could
convince me. I've only heard it once. I'm probably
underestimating their talent.

WHat the hell is Paths?

Props to NIN downward spiral. Come to think of it, it was
probably the first "rock/alternative/industrial" album that
heavily influenced my decision to explore electronica.

Paths is an EP. Lifeforms Paths 1-7. Featuring Liz Frazer on
vocals. Similar to Lifeforms (the album), only a bit darker,
and a little more...well, I think maybe ethnic sounding?
More percussion sounds than electronic beats...
