About 1000 people showed up at the USF saturday night to
hear and see the Aphex Twin do his stuff on his laptop and
turntables. And it was amazing! He started playing around
eleven and kept going for about two hours. I'm not quite
sure what he played but it was impossible not to be moved by
it. I recognized a few old Aphex trax - but I don't remember
any specifics now I'm afraid... :) He played a lot of
different stuff, ranging from hiphop and drill'n'bass to
good old afx-ish techno. The set worked extremely well with
a crowd of that size and it turned out to be a feelgood
event, indeed. To get a glimps of the star you had to
approach the stage where he was sitting on the floor and
keeping his head down most of the time. By the time
Satanstornado started their assault on us I was pretty drunk
so I don't remember too much, but it was loud, hard and deep
and it made half the crowd disappear within a few minutes.
It sounded like 1000 beats pr. minute and I jumped around
screaming my lungs out so it was quite fun but rather
insane. Today my voice is gone but it was wort it. This is
the third time I see Merzbow and if he returns to Bergen
again I'll be there! Thanks a lot Richard - You did a great
job!

No pic's I'm afraid, but here is some local press:

Cool. Hopefully a recording of it will pop up somewhere.
