I know this isnt related to anything consistant with this
board, but I need help finding a working OEM for Windows XP
Home edition. I've tried over 100 with no luck.

Listen if your gonna flame me for asking for an OEM dont
waste your time, I cant afford XP and 98 cant run the
programs I need it to. Its vital I get XP working within the
next few hours, as I have 2 assignments that need to be
completed by Monday....

:(

Jand that was a funny OEM you first sent me. It was only 20
numbers. THe usual OEMS have like 25 various numbers and
letters. The second is useless, I'm looking for XP OEM's.

Windows Xp Home Edition (US English Version)

Thanx anyways.

The first one was an XP activation code..

The second was a MS OEM no which should've worked...(worked
for me before)..

let me see what I can find for ya...

Those codes are generated from your hardware and codes
stored on microsoft servers so you can't just type in an
activation number from anywhere. The number is unique to
your hardware.

Office XP is a bit different cause you might have had a
corporate copy that doesn't require activation.

There are special activation codes that do work without MS
getting all huffy...

Handy to know people who bulk buy MS software (..we get sent
every single piece of SW MS write/release...OS, SDKS,
msdn..over 250 cds a month it seems...)...

I never connected to the internet to activate my copy of
WinXP. I just punched in the code that came with it.
