Great movie... watched it last night... real funny, moving,
powerful, scary, anger inducing, etc, etc... a little bit of
everything... loved it... Jack Nicholson was amazing imo,
the nurse however didn't deserve her best actress oscar that
she got... not enough variety in her character...

all in all though, there was some amazing acting in it...
great stuff!

and I finally understand a scene in the simpsons... you
know, the one where homer checks himself in or something,
and this big indian guy used a safe or something to break
the window... he then procedes to break another window to
get his hat... that scene never really meant anything to me
before...

I always get angry when I watch movies about mental health
hospitals... I don't know, it just gets on my nerves the way
people are treated in them... and well, I only have the
movies to go by, but there has to be some thread of reality
in them...

Anyone ever read the book? As usual, it's better than the
movie... and it's written from the perspective of the
Chief... who in the book is a paranoid schizophrenic. So you
get all these crazy ass hallucination descriptions that are
just great...

Awesome movie! I was so excited when we watched it in
Psychology last year--such a powerful movie. I love Jack
Nicholson.

I havent read the book--any good?

I started reading the first page and real;ized it was the
Chiefs perspective, and I just love Jacks character, so I
was a little wary about that ;)

If its worth it, I will read it!

never seen it, is still on my "classics to see" list.
Especially after seeing Jack Nicholson rehearse and prepare
himself in the making of the shining.

Defo read the book. While the film is one of my all time
favourites, the book eclipses it. Don't be put off by the
fact that the Chief narrates it.

"Play the game".
