Yess! Twnty minutes ago mr RDJ finished a brilliant Laptop
set at Blå in Oslo. A wonderful mix of poppy disco,
drilldrum n bass, edgy acid-tecno and hardcoredub. It was
fantastic. He mixed gthe genres like a madman and used the
epileptic strobes to frighten the littlediscogirls.
Marvellous. And Satanstornade did a helluva noise-job too.
None of us recorded the show, but Phresch took some pics.
And not to be rude, but Merzbow looks like Yoko Ono. Drunk
now. G'night!

yeah, he played a wicked set. he started off with some acid
techno for about half a hour and which shifted to some
menacing drum'n'bass/gabber.. I did recognise some of the
tracks he played: "Hellfish & Producer - Toilet Wars", "The
DJ Producer - Rude Attitude" and "54 Cymru Beats" (which was
the only aphex track he played). The set lasted about 2
hours. I just hope the pictures i took will be alright.

how much of the show was dj mixing and how much was bits off
his laptop... was it one, then the other? or did he switch
back and fourth from his own tracks to the records, back to
the laptop?

as i said previously, he didn't play any of his own tracks,
except 54 Cymru Beats. I think he used some sort of mp3
mixing software, Final Scratch perhaps. i'm not sure. He did
mix vinyls as well, tho.
