got it in the mail yesterday...

honestly i do not like many of the songs, they seem very
half-assed and... well... half assed. the songs that i DO
enjoy although stand out very much to me and i like them
alot.

my favorite out of all has to be AFX's remix of Heroes... i
know no english words to describe how i like it... but it is
NICE and i wish it were a much longer recording (its 5:18)

also, i will admit i was expecting more "drillnbass" as
heard on drukqs... just as i expected more gantz graffial
type music on draft 7.30... but it does not disappoint me
alot..

as always please excuse my horrifying english

It's a retrospective of stages in aphexs life. I find the
'heroes' mix completely shit compared to the
original...but...he's finding his feet...if you want to
critisize peoples development then I think it's sad. I'm
sure music (if you have ever mede it) 10 years ago can be
dissed by anyone here.

I know, it's a nice view on someones development. take
from it what you can, or compare it to music/dsp crap you
hear today. I'm trying not to be confrontational cygnus
but..........it's a few interpretations of other peoples
tracks...

I'm taking it too seriosley...I'm off to bed.

Krieger is amazingly funny when it comes to the point where
he starts to do the APHEX! crap, and the sample from Milkman
starts drilling the stupid rythm over the now heavily
filtered rap... amazingly funny.

i had my copy for a few days, but opened it early today. i
only listened to it once, dont know what to think of it.

on first thought, im a bit disapointed. i enjoyed about
half the tracks on the compilation. most of the material
sounded pretty daded to me, and sounded like straight up
techno.......

my second thought was that most tracks were too lenghty,
repetitive. but there are some really amzing songs on the
compilation though. just not as many as i expected. but i
have to listen to it again.

oh yeah, where the fuck is beck's richard's haircut???????

26 remixes for cash!

don't think it was meant to be a grammy winner - tho there
sure are some feckn lovely tunes on there.

cortex: that's how rdj sounded in those days. you obviously
don't like his earlier works because this stuff is up to the
same quality. You can't really look at 26 mixes as a brand
new afx release. This is a gathering of work from different
periods. and i love them all :)

disc 1 : 9.7/10
disc 2 : 8.8/10

one of my top 3-4 afx release
