i love that track........... expecially on the live Frigids
mp3 where its carried along in a bouncier fashion, as is
"red hot car"

Is there a studio version of Direct to Mental?

(I'm sure this has been asked before, but the search
function isn't giving me anything).

doubt it..... anyway, listen to angstrom Feck 4.. the studio
version is well crap compared to the 2 live versions Japan,
Frigid. Toms best live methinks!

I'll agree with that. I first heard the Frigids version of
Anstromm Feck 4, after which the album version pales in
comparison.

nice of him to include it for completeness though.... plus
we can tweek it ourselves on our amazing mixers that we
own!

yeah I asked that a few weeks ago. People seem to think its
a bonus track on the Japanese release of DYKS? or Go
Plastic, but I cant find it on Soulseek.

I guess what they are on about is the extra three tracks off
the British Single Version of 'My Red Hot Car' EP. Don't
quote me on it but I think they were put on to the Japanese
release of 'Go Plastic' as extra tracks possibly?. The
Listing:-

My Red Hot Car' EP Warp CD 147
01 My Red Hot Car (Girl) 5.00
02 My Red Hot Car 4.19
03 Hardcore Obelisk 5:24
04 I Wish You Obelisk 3:33
05 Untitled (Hidden Track) 5.08

Greenways Trajectory (live ver.) has to be one of the
mentalist tracks ever.Especialy when that bouncy bass kicks
in after the "breakdown".

Alive In Japan is so...not live... all Jekinson is doing is
DJing his own material to a crowd of people...apparently he
tweaks the songs a bit? hm I guess that could be true but I
didn't notice a difference...might as well listen to the
better-quality album versions

There is quite some tweaking going on. Or its just different
versions perhaps!

also his comments are pretty funny i guess.
the beats are throbbing insanely away, and tom suddenly
goes, in the most british accent, "loud enough you
think???"

also his apparent proudness over "do you know squarepusher".
But the sound quality isnt good at all.
