I found an this soon-to-be released album on Soulseek.

1-Stay
2-Anti-Matter
3-Ice Pick
4-Car Crash, etc

I haven't listened, waiting for it to download. This is the
real thing, right, anyone hear it yet? I don't want to wait
for a fake.

The middle of May... I'm just getting into him, Maxinquaye
is my flavor of the week, haven't gotten around to Blowback
yet.

enjoy his early material (maxinquaye, pmt, nearly god), it's
better than his most recent work imo (juxtapose, blowback).
but he's got some good songs on every release.

there's apparently going to be 2 more albums from him in the
near future: nearly goddess with the likes of pj harvey and
kelis and some radagon & tricka release, reggae stuff i
suppose.

those vulnerable files on soulseek are mostly unmastered so
try to get the real ones with the real titles, like it's
"search, search, survive" not "search & survive".

who all has heard it now?
i'm very skeptical... i didn't like blowback very much at
all...

i'd rank tricky's albums as follows
1- Pre-Millenium Tension
2- Angels With Dirty Faces
3- Maxinquaye
4- Nearly God (the top 4 are all very close in my
opinion)
5- Juxtapose
6- Blowback

i think tricky is a pompous, self-indulgent, egotistical,
deluded jack-ass

his music is all right though. and he has a killer live
show.

martine topley-bird (the singer on maxinequaye) is supposed
to be releasing a solo album as well, i heard one song a few
months ago and it was ace - anyone know anything about when
the album is due out (if ever)?????

i heard similar, i want it. She has an ace voice. I just
leant that goldfrapp was a singer on maxinquaye too. I hear
good things about her debut too, but her second album is
supposedly less encouraging

she has a fantastic voice i just hope this album comes out
at some point.

didn't know that about alison goldfrapp. i liked goldfrapps
last single. the first album was good, but a bit samey, its
nice to dip in and out of. haven't heard the 2nd album yet.
the best thing she did (that i've heard) is a track with
spacer (completely underated electronic bod).

well!! now that its out what do you think about it?
i like the cure cover and most of it actually, suprisingly
its grown on me though the single makes me cringe........

martina topley bird just released "quixote" i think, havent
heard it but its gotten ace reviews!.....i think tricky
produced one track.

im listening to this now...it's nice to listen when you're
little stoned...i wonder what will i think of it in the
morning.
i prefer darker sound...this sounds kind of too easy
listening...

hmm, im begining to like this album quite a bit. the italian
singer is awesome!!! he always picks great vocalists!

"hollow" is superb...beautifull!

she, my friend, is SHIT.
i had to leave when i saw her sing live...i felt so sorry,
as did most of the confused crowd.... on album the
production hides how crap she really is. and her silly
"american style" accent in some of the better tracks
irritate no end. :)

I do NOT remember making this topic. And I have a

no no no no no, trust me. tricky coud make my grandad sound
good.
but it was apparent on his 2003 tour that she couldn't sing.
remember it's her first time actually on tour or anything
though....i mean she was a fan that seduced him or
something!! :)
