Im so scared of it... unbeleivable. Especially during those
war+terrorist times. All i want right now. Is to stay on the
ground, where it's not safer than in the air, wich is
paradoxal to me... But true.. There for im very much
hesitating to spend 7 hours in a Plane ,during a period of 3
days..

I can relate to what ur saying. I guess what ur thinking is
the more you fly, the more you get the feeling ur pushing ur
luck, and it should run out once shouldn't it?

I used to Love taking the plane, But since that flight from
London to Geneva.
Where we flew over the big France storm 3 years ago ( with
mum). Im always thinking of what could possibly happen, THe
take-off is the worst part. There, i always keep an eye on
the engines. Two see if anything is popping out... It's a
nightmare. And im nervous a week and a half before taking
it.

That's one thing i always have on my mind. But, anyway. What
can we do to stop it, if it happens. Should we just stop
taking the plane.. Impossible, if you've got loved ones all
over the place

yeap, that's what i think too,.I've read that the number of
crashes per year will increase all the time. 'cause... the
improvement of the aircraft imdeed, but the air traffic. And
terrorism, is something else.

you know theres an average of five plane crashes a day in
china...big planes i mean....ther "internal"airline(s) are
the pits....the thing is they dont (and dont have to) report
their crashes...

any1 remember "The world according to Garp"?

Garp is thinking of buying a house, and then a plane crashes
through its roof. "I am definately gonna buy it, this will
never happen again!".

the only point for them to highfuckingjack a plane would be
to crash it on london or something...it doesnt matter were
the plane is from...

offline hobbes from age on 2003-03-24 17:03 [#00613976]

......yeah haedjin...humans are great though dont you
think....you have 2 chances out of 3 of dying from
smoking.....everyone still smokes (me for a start!) thinking
they ll be okay....
you have a one in i dont know how many million chances to
win the lottery...but everyone (a lot of people) play
thinking they might have a chance...optimism i guess

We invite death, knowing it. The lotery...
Why bother playing . To win 50 cents every month. It's a
good comparison with the plane

I hate flying. Im going to florida in 3 weeks ( 3 hr plane
ride) and if it was up to me we'd take the train, but
unfortunatly it's not. I have such a fear of flying...i need
to close my eyes, listen to my discman and I hope I fall
asleep.

the world according to garp and other irving books give good
life philosophy.

i'm not scared of flying but my bf is (he is scared of
almost all transport, doesn't even let me on a ferry) so we
never fly.

ok kids, planes are my #1 passion above music, so let me
give you a very simple piece of knowledge

You are far more likely to die on the way to the airport
than you are on a commerical flight.

it's that simple, keep that in mind and fly without fear.

turbulence? Every person in the plane will be splattered
against the walls and dead before the plane looses a single
piece.

Flyinging is the safest way to travel, now the I5 freeway in
California, fucking deadly, airplanes, safe as angel wings?
