Listening to it watching the sun go down.

There is a tear rolling down my face as I listen to ny
batteri thinking of the innocent people that have died.

A truly beautiful album/band.

its to an independent icelandic film, cant remember the
name, theyres a review at pitchforkmedia for you to read
(they didnt give it to great of a review however but it
sounded like its got an idm edge like mum... all the tracks
or shorter like two minutes or so and theres 20 or so
tracks)

offline MachineofGod from the land of halo's (United States) on 2003-03-23 13:34 [#00611995]

they also contributed two tracks to an earlier soundtrack
called angels of the universe if your not familiar with that
already. then of course they have von and the recycle
(remix) albums.

Englar Alheimsins or Angels of the Universe is a film from
the year 2000. it features two sigur rós covers of an
icelandic lullaby called "bíum bíum bambaló" and
"dánarfregnir og jarðarfarir" which was a theme that was
played before they told about deaths and funerals on the
radio

Angels of the Universe .I saw this cd in HMV is it good?

offline AlbertoBalsalm from Reykjavík (Iceland) on 2003-03-23 13:47 [#00612016]

sigur rós are very popular here, even the older people
listen to their music. múm is more underground but well
known. it's mostly young people know who they are.

tonepu5her: definetly! bíum bíum bambaló is probly their
most beautiful song. Dánarfregnir og jarðarfarir is faster
and more rock than their usual stuff. Two must-have if you
are a Sigur Rós fan.

So simple,yet beautifull.

Have you tried doing what Jonsi uses?An E-bow/Chello bow
along the strings, very creative.I call this the prepared
guitar(don't ask,I know its not prepared)

I can't really get into (). I love their other stuff and
live they are cool but () just doesn't do it for me. It
sounds they've spent too long mixing it and taking
mistakes/beautifull bits out. Check them live if you get
the chance it is truly lovely!
