"BUT I WAS TOLD TO BURN THE PREGNANT WOMAN!" There was an experiment where they picked up a random person (let's say it's you) and asked them if they wanted to participate in an important experiment. They tell the REAL object of the experiment (you) that the man in the next room (a room behind the glass) is supposed to train his memory. And he should repeat words that he tries to remember. And whenever he makes a mistake, you gotta turn the lever and the man will recieve an electric shock. Starting from 20 volts and ending up 400. 16 charges. So the experiment starts and you turn the lever more and more as the man keeps making mistakes. On the 8th charge he starts yelling in pain and says it hurts a lot and that he won't take it any more. If you keep pulling the lever, he will fall on the floor and cry and say that he quits. The guy who's standing behind you all the time (in a lab coat, with glasses) tells you you should go on, as the man's result is still far from perfect. If you go on, the man just starts sobbing uncontrollably and soon falls unconscious. They wake him up and you have the ability to pull the lever again, as you're told to continue the experiment.
