Can anyone understand this?

I tried the online translation site thinking it was dutch,
but it didn't translate, anyone know what language this is?

In
Schlaflosigkeit. Dröge Verzweifelung wechselt mit
eingebildetem Frohmut. „Ich lasse mich überr

Peter Hendricks photographs are large and harsh, go closely
ran, so closely that one many a time blur the portraits of
the drug-addicted prostitutes before eyes. Yet before the
spectator turns away himself, its lens turns off and
fokussiert the traces of the milieu in the gutter, in which
drawer, no angle, that he surveys. Again it zooms the women
into
the countenance and investigates protection loose, what
burned in its environment them. Scar, stings, wetting
wounds. Übersäht are it with flaw such, that stands in
blatant
contrast to the cosmetic retouch. Yet neither eyelid shadow
nor lipstick can about that away deceit. Becomes equally
clear to the spectator: on the suns page of the life, no
place for these shadowy shapes, whose end is yet already
from the beginning vorgezeichnet, is. And actually the
fateful photo as well as an evil Ohmen follows at once: the
feet
of a corpse on the court medical Obduktionstisch, with the
obligatory slip of paper at the large toe. The nail varnish
of the toes nails is a long time abgeblättert. a bad
trip...

The display in that „entrance gallery“ the photo museum
(until 25.04.1999) the book (ISBN 3-88243-578-X) appeared in
the Steidl publishing house reflects ventures against,
and like this the difficult balance act between text and
picture. In this case therefore especially hard, because
the accompanying journal of a Prosituierten became, of
Teschi, composes that, with this Paukenschlag opens the
book, 1996 already died. Re candor comes before the case.
Teschi, or Elke, that wrote of itself usually in the
third person, a Litanei delivered without comma and
orthography. An only devil circle, more always more
despairing and more simultaneously more anesthetizeed is
sank your
life it in its misery out of heroin and Freiern, out of
shelter and insomnia. Drugs Verzweifelung changes with
imagined happy courage. „I let me überr

Thank you.

The text is about the Photographer Peter Hendricks, I am
guessing he is a german photographer, although I thought he
was dutch.

Anyway he did this powerful/ beautiful/ disturbing series of
portraits on women that are prostitutes and drug-addicts. It
follows the women through many phases including death. I
can't really find his work online though.... guess I gotta
make a trip to the library.
