Blair Witch Project

audition is great, got it on dvd...

Suspiria and Ring are 2 of my faves :)

holywood horror movies mostly suck, esp since the Scream
films.

I wouldn't class Audition as a horror film.

Anyway, 99% of horror films are shite.

ahah audition was awesome :D
tik tik tik tik tik... almost never saw anything more
disturbed.. good call !
for me its society, bad taste, braindead, funnygames (sorta
thriller..anyway)
first hellraiser, first three freddys, the dentist,
re-animator, videodrome, eraserhead, naked lunch (not horror
but really scared me as a kid), and lot more, i think i saw
most horror films existing

The Eye was good too... damn these asions make good horror
films. The inevitable hollywood re-make will inevitably
suck.

Anyone seen the Ring re-make, eurgh!!

not if you give me a million scooby snacks. btw i thought
ring original sucked too, it was a banal adaptation of
scream imo

on dvd! Wish they stopped after Aliens.

The fucking Evil Dead trilogy kids! That's what a horror
film is. Sod all this serious shit. Fucking humour, gore and
a smidgeon of seriousness. That's what you want. Braindead!
A fine example of a quality horror film.

As a horror film Hellraiser sucks until Part III, then it
gets the comedy right.

Sod your fucking Auditions and Rings (Although I enjoyed
that.)

the first amityville horror film, if only for the EXTREMELY
eerie soundtrack for the opening credits with the burning
lights of the house in the background.
made me shit my pants as a youngster.

and although it might not strictly be a horror film, mute
witness is one of the scariest cover your eyes with a
cushion films i've seen in ages.

everybody who liked blair witch (and has nothing against
gore) should watch "cannibal holocaust".
NOTE: I'm not recommending the movie. It's way too graphic
for most people, and not just violence. It's an exploatation
movie, so I hope you understand what I mean.
It's not the most disturbing movie of all time (and it has
wonderful music in it to!), but most of us will find it too
graphic (it's not extremely detailed (few closeups), but the
music is scary and the disturbing scenes are REALLY long)

Nightmare On Elm Street 1-3, 7
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Dawn of the Dead
Phantasm 1+2
Friday the 13th 3,4,7
Night of the Demons
Evil Dead Trilogy
Dead Alive
Jeepers Creepers

I can probably think of more later
this is a damn good list though. Ive seen hundreds of
horror movies I work in a video store and this is all I
rent. These are just some obvious classics.
