So I got 'Mood Bells' by Cylob, and everyone seems to diss
this CD. It's some great ambient but I had to really slow my
mind down to enjoy it. I had a nice big spliff, turned down
the lights and put it on loud with everything else in my
room off so I only got the pure sound of the album. It's
very minimalistic and I'm sure it's not everybodys thing but
I love this CD. It takes my mind all places if I allow
myself to flow with it. I can't wait to see what Cylob does
next.

I also got 'Like Weather' by 'Leila'. I can't stop playing
track 9 'So low..amen', I love the jungle beats, they get
very aggressive near the end of the track. I need to listen
to the CD a lot more before I can say any more. I know
nothing about this artist so can someone update me please?

leila is good. like weather is amazing, she has another
album out on xl called "courtesy of choice." she used to do
stuff for bjork when she toured. is that enough for now or
do you need more info?

Don't expect to be blown away by the Cylob album right away,
you really need to slow yourself down to get it. If you
don't give it time you will want to turn it off and put some
gabber on or something. But for relaxing you can't do much
better and I really feel sorry for Cylob as he has taken
quite a beating over this CD. I really melted into the
sound. :>

but see nothing. :/

Every time I buy a Rephlex CD it's like having a new angle
added to music collection. I want some more but there is so
much choice on Warpmart and I have no idea what to get next.
Invisible Movies looks tempting and so does the Mike Dred
CD.

I hope we get a 'Sounds Never Seen' vol.2 :>

it

Well did you expect too much from it? It's not meant to me
anything more then minimalist ambiant so if you don't go for
that sort of thing in the first place I guess you will loose
out. You have to kill all the noise and just listen to this
pure, the sound is only half of this album, your mind has to
flow to find the rest imo. I plaid it when I was very
relaxed and allowed my mind to flow with it until I was
almost dreaming.

I have to ask... your spelling of 'played' - is it
intentional? You do it a lot and I was curious :)

The sustain from some of the bells is manipulated, that
totally messed with me and as I got used to the sound a new
bell would sound over it. When high it was the best thing
ever to relax to. I'm hardly going to play this often but
I'm certainly glad I got it.
