They are also taking the "French" out of French
fry/toast/kiss/etc, but this isnt stopping me from loving
music. :D

damned...

But still the war...

But still... John Lennon and Martin Gore!! :) Take a moment
to reflect on your loved ones and listen to this song. :)
Music brings peace to the soul--we all know that.

Never heard of Martin Gore, I seem to like a lot of music
you like ie Tori Amos, Bjork and such, how is Martin Gore?

Martin Gore is from Depeche Mode. :) He writes the songs and
sings some of them, too. :)

qrter--what about all of the other threads about music? Im
sure--Im SURE--that if this thread was about Autechre or
Squarepusher or someone who was generally adored here,
everybody would be jumping aboard loving it.

Im sorry about your friend, Dia.

so your point is because other people post about music now,
you do too..?

I don't care about other threads discussing music at this
moment either.

that was not my point.

Speaking of DM members, any news about the release of David
Gahan solo album? Last year i think i've heard for the first
time that rumor/fact.

I don't get the anti-music sentiment all of the sudden. War
and music have always gone hand in hand. From the flute and
snares of early armies right on up to Lennon's pieces.
Sure, the war is a major issue, but it's not like war is all
that's going on. It's not like many of us have trouble
listening to music and following the war at the same time.
Even after September 11th--just because there's an issue
with more gravity doesn't mean it should outweigh other
things, right?
P.S. Dia, things will probably be all right for your pal!

Hey Im curious titsworth honestly, and I swear Im not trying
to be an idiot, but I respect your opinions and I was
wondering if I should give Mira Calix's new album a chance?
Im hearing good things about it...

i wouldn't recommend it unless you're into ambient.. it's
not a "beats" album by any means (tho it of course has
percussion.. err, percussive noises anyway).

Good morning everyone!

*frowns* You really dont like me at all, do you, Titsworth?

I have complete respect for human life AND serious issues. I
didnt post this thread because there were other music
threads--I posted it because today I heard his cover for the
first time. Huzzah! I thought maybe some people would be
interested! There are Depeche Mode fans here, I know.

Honestly, titsworth, dont you think maybe instead of being a
bit of a jerk, we should all just be nice to eachother?
Especially now. *holds out arms for hug*

Besides, dont tell me that you didnt post at other music
threads today/yesterday, eh? Texas Chainsaw Massacre,
Windowlicker, dancehall, Tool... we are all guilty of *gasp*
talking about music and movies even in times of war.

And the thing is, its okay. :) I dont know about you, but
music is an escape for me.

I'm keen to hear the album. Which DM tracks does Gore sing
on? I've seen him sing backup in concert but never lead...

You Now, Judas, The Things You Said, Somebody, One Caress, A
Question of Lust, Pipeline... those are some. :D

Dave Gahan's solo album, "Paper Monsters" is due out
sometime in April/May if I remember correctly.

There's a link to his official site (davegahan.com) on the
official DM site (depechemode.com)
