While I have no distinct disdain for anyone in Europe, though I don't particularly care for the French, it seems the opposite is not true. New York Times is running a story about how much our allies accross the pond are into hating us at the moment, and it makes me sad. I wish there was more world harmony and more unification of peoples, but sometimes it's hard. I wish no ill will to any here who lives overseas, may peace prevail at a time not far from this day. |

I too have no harsh feelings to our overseas counterparts. People are people and just because they have a different view/opinion i am not going to think differently of them because of that. I like to respect individuals for whom they are. I try not to judge based on what one believes. |

Fortunetely I think most people outside the US direct their anger towards the rightful parties; the administration and the people who are making all this war stuff happen. They realize that the administration doesn't necissarily speak for the people. Many of us don't want this war. Just look at the protests. |

BlatantEcho, Yes sadly there is real anti-American sentiment in Europe and unfortunately in England too. To be honest its been like this for years, the recent circumstances haven't changed anything particularly. I've always been pro-English speaking democracies, our allies and of course members of the commonwealth due to the obvious ties America, Australia and New Zealand especially. The French have always been anti-American and anti-British so this is nothing new. They have especially a lot of disdain for the British (which is of course known but unspoken), 'cause basically we've been whipping there arses for the past 500 years. |
