download as many vst/vsti plug-ins as u can!
I recommend Phatmatik Pro vst instrument from bitshift Audio. i made a thread about that (with bad results) here

they're virtual instruments / effects that u "plug" into cubase. just as u would plug your sampler/synthesiser with cubase, but instead it's a virtual sampler/synth/drum machine etc...

yeah man I'm gonna need to look at that. Geez I couldnt even make sounds! I dont have any hardware to plug into my computer.... is cubase still useful to me?

uhh, can u make drum beats in this? FL is ok for that but i cant chop my beats up and glitch them out much...

u don't need any hardware to plug into your computer. you can use vsti. drum beats? yes with FXpansion DR-008 u can create drum beats aswell as other vsti. Phatmatik Pro is the best for cutting up sampled beats.
