Lots of good software. Fruityloops is always a classic. I am really tripping off of Native Instruments right now. Everything they do is pretty class.
RDJ has a pretty vast range of programs he uses. A lot of them are freeware found on the net.

Same thing happened when a bunch of people found out that you could make music with any crappy guitar bought in a pawn shop.

Hey, there is nothing wrong with kids downloading fruityloops and becoming excited about making music!! hell, i just downloaded fruityloops a few weeks ago and have enjoyed screwing with it, im 16, and im making music baby!!!...
