I just downloaded a folder from someone on slsk called
'boards_of_canada-june_9th_remix-(cds)-2003-rns' and inside
was a very nice remix of June 9th from the Hi Scores EP.

Heres the info from the NFO:

Has anyone ever heard of this? I'm thinking is possibly a
fan remix, but RNS is a real release group, and it seems
unlikely they would release a fan remix (especially since
the source is CDS).

Yep, my queue is always busy :/

I downloaded it from the user "ganjamb" (minus quotes) so
perhaps you'll have better luck downloading from him.
