Ha hA Just saw a commercial about a Fox news exclusive
about becoming a DJ.

Tonight on the 10:00 news. Should be pretty funny. Something
about going to Dj school.

I'm in Boston so I don't know where else it will be airing.

You can always count on FOX news to be false, fake, far
fetched, and of course, ridiculous.

technics turntables have outsold fender guitars for the last
several years.

that's an interesting fact, It makes sense though,
turntables are a much more diverse instrument.

but the question of the hour is,

how many of those tables are being used by consumers to
listen to vinyl and how many are being used by djs

id say over 80% of them are being used as dj gear.

too).

I like the look of the new Stanton ST100s, although I've not
had a go on them yet. IMO straight arm stantons are the
nicest looking decks. Vestax PDX2000s all the way in terms
of functionality though!

This is my setup although I now have better
headphones and carts.

I hate the fact that the majority of "bedroom DJs" are in it
as a route to stardom. I know it sounds cliched, but the out
and out commercialism of it makes me want to hurl. A guy
came up to me after I played out and after talking to him
for 5 minutes it was apparent he wanted to DJ (and had
bought some shitty KAM decks, LOL) to pull women. I mean,
for fucks sake...
